The Ag/Commercial Lender Trainee will be responsible for maintaining and developing client relationships to assist in securing various agriculture, commercial, consumer, and other credits. You will be trained in loan origination, credit analysis, and customer service. You will be instrumental in guiding clients through the loan process and ensuring their financial needs are met while meeting the bank's goals.

 

Responsibilities:
  • Develop loan and deposit relationships with current and prospective customers.
  • Evaluates applicant’s credit and financial status to determine appropriate lending decisions based on the Bank’s risk-tolerance levels.
  • Determine value or status of collateral.
  • Structures loans within loan policy guidelines for presentation and approval by loan committee.
  • Maintain a strong knowledge of bank products and identify opportunities to recommend products and services to customers.
  • Execute sales strategies to grow loans and deposits
  • Manages existing loan portfolio and reviews financial information to ensure loan quality.
  • Promote the Bank within the community by being active in the community.
  • Represent the bank at local community and professional organization events.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of internal bank policies and banking regulations.
  • Other Duties as assigned.
     
What you will need
  • Bachelor’s degree in ag econ, finance or other related fields is required.
  • Agricultural background is helpful.
