Moving all your business accounts to United Community Bank has never been easier! Simply refer to the following guide to make your switch easy and convenient. For assistance, please contact a Customer Service Representative at any UCB location.

Follow these simple steps:

Switch Kit 1 Open a new United Community Bank account. 

Stop by the United Community Bank location nearest you and visit with a Customer Service Representative who can assist you in opening your new account. If it's more convenient, call us to get the process started.

Switch Kit 2 Stop using your old bank account.

Verify all of your checks have cleared. Destroy all of your old unused checks, deposit slips and ATM/debit cards or bring them in and we'll shred them for you. 

Switch Kit 3 Transfer automatic transactions.

Change all of your direct deposits
Use the enclosed AUTHORIZATION TO CHANGE DIRECT DEPOSIT FORM to authorize the change in accounts. Make sure you include a voided check or deposit slip from your new business account.

Notify your Merchant Card Processor

If your business accepts payments made by credit or debit cards, use the enclosed AUTHORIZATION TO CHANGE DIRECT DEPOSIT FORM to authorize your merchant card processor to start crediting transactions to your new United Community Bank business account. We can also help you set up a new merchant card acceptance program or switch your existing merchant services to United Community Bank. Ask us for more details.

Change all of your automatic payments

Use the enclosed AUTHORIZATION TO CHANGE AUTOMATIC PAYMENT FORM to authorize the change in accounts. Remember to transfer your existing automatic online bill payments to UCB's free online bill payment service.

Switch Kit 4 Close your old bank account.

Use the enclosed AUTHORIZATION TO CLOSE ACCOUNTS FORM to authorize the closing of your old bank account. If you have a remaining balance, your old bank will send you a check. It's really just that simple!
