Follow these simple steps:
Open a new United Community Bank account.
Stop by the United Community Bank location nearest you and visit with a Customer Service Representative who can assist you in opening your new account. If it's more convenient, call us to get the process started.
Stop using your old bank account.
Transfer automatic transactions.
Change all of your direct depositsUse the AUTHORIZATION TO CHANGE DIRECT DEPOSIT FORM to authorize the change in accounts. Make sure you include a voided check or deposit slip from your new business account.
Notify your Payroll Processor
Notify your Merchant Card Processor
If your business accepts payments made by credit or debit cards, use the AUTHORIZATION TO CHANGE DIRECT DEPOSIT FORM to authorize your merchant card processor to start crediting transactions to your new United Community Bank business account. We can also help you set up a new merchant card acceptance program or switch your existing merchant services to United Community Bank. Ask us for more details.
Change all of your automatic payments
Use the AUTHORIZATION TO CHANGE AUTOMATIC PAYMENT FORM to authorize the change in accounts. Be sure to transfer your existing automatic online bill payments to UCB's Free Online Bill Payment Service. Also, remember to update any saved bank information records on payments made regularly online to your new UCB account number.
